(New?) Sky F1 Commentator

Did anyone else think that former HRT driver that was doing the colour commentary for the practice sessions this weekend was absolutely fantastic? I found he kept picking up things that I didn't even notice, and he was able to very specifically indicate where drivers lost time. Anyway, I liked him way more than Crofty, kinda wished Crofty would just shut up and let him talk.

Just wondering if anyone else thought he was fantastic.

There is a thread on reddit F saying exactly the same. I've always like Karun Chandhok. I liked him as a driver and I still like him as a commentator.

Crofty can always shut up as far as I'm concerned. My girlfriend makes fun of him and his excited screaming at the beginning of every race

I used to love it when he did it on the BBC, very good co commentator, and far better than Crofty or Johnny Herbert who is doing it for Sky quite often.

Agreed - Karun Chandhok is a very good commentator, a fast racer and generally seems to be a very nice guy.

I'd buy him a beer.
