Forza 4 drifting

Post

Does anyone here drift in Forza 4? I'm trying to get some ideas for drift cars. What are your favorite cars to drift? I don't have any dlc that isn't free btw.

Pic related. It's my 1983 Volvo 242 Turbo Evolution. It drifts like a champ with 400HP & 415ft-lbs lol. If anybody is interested in giving it a try, there is an easy formula for tuning. (A-B)C+B=X. This works for springs, anti-roll bars, and rebound stiffness. A = maximum setting, B = minimum setting, C = weight distribution. Springs for example: Maximum setting is say, 1000lbs, and minimum setting is 100lbs. A-B=900lbs. Front weight (C) is 52%. 900x.52=468, C(468)+B(100)=568lbs. This is your "default" front spring setting. Just repeat that front and rear for the settings I mentioned. Bump stiffness should be 50-75% of your rebound stiffness, I split the difference and start with 60%. As for parts, max out your drivetrain, platform and handling (full cage is optional), and use stock, street, or sport tires. Tire width should be increased by 1 for the front, do as you please for the rear. I up it by 2 or 3. Rims don't matter, neither does any of the body kit stuff, just don't use the Forza wing or bumper. For powertrain, it's up to you, just make sure to get the racing flywheel and try to keep it under 650HP. Try not to get a big turbo because of the lag. I usually set my castor to 7 and my front camber to -2.5, and my rear camber to -1.9. Leave the toe at 0 or set the front to .1. Set your final drive so that 3rd or 4th is your sweet spot. Set your 2way differential so that acceleration is at 75% and your deceleration is at 50%. For your tire pressures, try starting with 26psi front and 25psi rear. You want to look at your telemetry after 2 or 3 laps to check and see what your pressures are at. Peak grip comes at 30-32PSI, adjust your pressures so that when your tires are hot they are in that range. I aim for 31psi. Good luck and have fun!
