Design and Modeling of an Formula 1 car

I chosen my dissertation project - "Design and Modeling of an Formula 1 car" and I don't have any clue from where to start. The design itself I will make it in 3D Studio Max.
Now I realize that is a lot of work and I'm thinking that I've bitten more than I can chew. I'm already worried. Online are several material, but not all very useful.
I already had "The Science Of Formula 1 Design (Second Edition)", but I'm not find the Third Edition. If someone has it, give me a PM.

Well my first question is - this is a dissertation for what? University? Which class, or which major? What exactly is the requirement of this dissertation?

But yes, you definitely should have thought this through before taking it on.

It was this or an helicopter. I chose this cause i like it more and it's more material out there.
The dissertation is for university and the major is Graphics and Industrial Design.
the requirement are vague. According to teachers I have to do only the outer form of the car - an aerodinamc design, how I see the future.
