F1Technical Polls Stats 2013

Post

First of all, short intro on why me and this: a while ago I agreed to help Steven (a.k.a. Tomba) with some site editing, as much as I can. Hence, if you think of appropriate [something] for the site, drop me a PM, let’s say, you have a good topic for poll.

In that regard, you have never thought for a second that we are going to waste your vote, haven’t you? Since we've got some data at hand, let’s delve deeper and draw some charts, shall we?

Total votes for 2013: ~ 20,000 votes
Your voting activity during the season and some highlights:

Clearly, at the end of the season the interest was lower. This was perhaps due to the fact that Vettel was, well, invincible, and because we started running polls more often.

The poll question that had the most votes is “Are tyres currently too prominent in F1?” - nearly 5000 votes so far, where almost 65% think that the degradation is really bad right now and this ruins the racing.

You liked the modesty panel - 68% think cars look much better, while 10% liked the stepped noses.
But you didn’t like other FIA rule: the double points at the last race. About 85% of you disapprove the rule.

Almost 50% of you thought that Felipe Massa is not going to stay at F1, while 15% got it right for Williams deal.

Large percent of you - 70%, however, had no doubts in Vettel’s dominant form and guessed correctly that the Red Bull driver is going to win the remaining races, namely US and Brazil.

You have been very correct, again on technical related matter, that Ferrari is not going to snatch the second place at Constructor's championship - 83% of you got it right.

Transfers? Almost 30% of you think that Ricciardo is the right man for Red Bull, while 75% are assuming that Kimi was right to move to Ferrari. Illustrated, this is it how it looks:

One of the most discussed topics was Vettel's advantage in Singapore. Many have shared opinion, but in the end it looked like that:

The season itself? This is your rating from the scale of 1 to 6:

Note: this poll shall remain open for some time.

Once again, these are the highlights; thanks for participating and being part of the site. Your voice apparently matters :)
I hope to be able to provide more insight next year, but that depends also on your activity. Comments are welcome.
