2008 CDG Wing - Technical Drawings

Dear All,

I was wondering if any one has managed to summarise the 2008 bodywork regulations and had compared it to the current regulation.

I have gone through the rule book which is present on the FIA website, however I did not had the time to compare it properly with the 2005/06 regulations.

Some of the points were clear, however when you try and look for minor changes it gets complicated. For example, the rear end dimensions compared to the 2006 regs.

I would be grateful if anyone can answer some of my simple questions.

1 - Would the 2008 regs allow diffusers, if yes then what are the dimensions? Most probably my guess is a NO, however I am not sure.

2 - Would it be using only a twin element aerfoil section enclosed in a rule box of 350*200mm?

3 - Where would be the location of the rear wing? My initial guess is that it would be similar to the 2004 regulations, i.e at a height behind the rear wheel centre line.
