Didn't Volvo run a 4 cyl Group A (production homologated) 240T ~30 years ago that could pump out more than that..

1) Can I have it in a V40?
2) Will I have to pay for a 2.0l 4-cylinder, or 450hp?

.. but back in those days Group A production touring cars were (briefly) a world-wide thing..
The Group A Volvo 240T ( driven by Kiwi Robbie Francevic) won the `86 Australian Touring Car Championship,
..beating the factory Holdens, BMWs, Fords, Nissans.. et al..

No, this has nothing to do with Ford. Volvo was bought by Geely in 2010 & has gone from strength to strength since leaving Ford.
