Car simulation software

Post

Would you be kind enough to post links to car simulation software? I am constructing a page on this subject. Anything goes: transit models, car racing, engine, aerodynamics.

I am especially interested on trajectories simulation, but I have not found a shred, besides this pathetic bunch of links: http://www.geocities.com/ciroalbertopab ... adores.htm I recommend strongly Beckman's link for aspiring pilots (go Taleed!).

MOTEC and Bosch systems are the obvious ones. I used the former at University this year and it's pretty nifty.

I used veDYNA (by a German company called Tesis) to do a vehicle dynamics analysis on our universities FSAE car a few years ago.

It runs in MATLAB/simulink, which opens the doors to a lot of possibilities like HIL and substiution of various models (tyre, dampers etc)

Its a full vehicle MBD simulator with a pretty good tyre model. With the right input it should be capable of transient and steady state.

I never got to perform a full validation on it, it is quite a large complicated model. So I would guess you could make it as accurate as you wanted.

Some info on my project

I have a paper on lane change trajectories too that I found during my thesis year.
