Yellow=unrestricted sight lines from the cockpit.
Blue=unrestricted. The 'double wheels' are the minimum and maximum wheelbase, and the front of the car is pretty much unrestricted.
Green=Restricted. Rear wing sits inside the box, cutouts over the front wheels.

So what are the other colours? especially the pink semicircles above the cockpit and the orange areas above the rear wheels.

The pink ones are part of cockpit access test/rule. The orange areas I think are the holes in bodywork over the tyres. Just like the green ones over the front tyres.

This is disgusting. "LMP1" should not even exist... we should be seeing the McLaren P1, vs the LaFerrari, vs the Porsche 918 vs whatever Koenigsegg or other hypercard wants to get involved and let the best car win(no BOP).

FIA/ACO has really destroyed Le mans

What makes you think that the manufacturers want to see these cars raced? Some of them don't even want see them tested against each other.

IMHO...the cars mentioned here would not have came into existence sans LMP1 gleaned knowledge.

I tend to agree...the only competition I can see such constructors agreeing to would be that of exactingly crafted straight-line, top speed tests...and then only on the 5 Tuesday of every 13th month when coinciding with the 3rd full moon and equipped with the flight feathers of 10 Dodo birds inserted in your back pocket.

...and no disrespect to E.T., but I would aver that F1 in its current state is a disgusting waste of time that should not exist. If I were a manufacturer, I might surmise that the LMP universe might offer more test mule opportunities for road car tech than does F1. That being said...I think both series offer exciting/entertaining racing.
