F1 drivers and their brief cases

Post

Hi,

This might be a stupid question, but it really intrigues me! Everytime I was pictures of a GP on Thursday the drivers are walking in the paddock with a brief case. What is inside that?? Most of them are too small to put a race costume or clothes for after the race or practice or so in it.

Only Fernando Alonso doesn't have a brief case but a little trolley (little suitcase on wheels) and Tonio Liuzzi has a shoulder bag.

I'm really curious...I would really like to know what they carry inside

hmm interesting question...

I'm not sure but in case of Schumacher it could be some blocks of gold for ballast :D Anyway that guy has a very oldfashioned leather briefcase, I don't like it.

All in all I have no clue at all what may be in there :s cellphone maybe or something like it?

A cellphone and wallet alone don't take that much space and Fisico's suit case of today was really full! I really don't know what could be in there! I want to know!!!!     (female curiousity)

Maybe it simply the strict necessary for hygien concerns: teethbrush, soap, shampoo, perfume...

Ok it sounds stupid because that sort of things are probably carried along with their clothes.

Or it contains their identity cards, passeport, super license etc, since most of times they wear sport or light clothes with no room for wallet. As Jason likes to say, who knows :?:

EDIT: Damn I just figured it out! It contains reports on others team's technologies stolen last race from spying :P

Probably the weekends timetable....practices, briefings, interviews....etc!

Probably some data from the track and car setup.

Probably a few autographed pics...they always work when you get held up by police!

A pen...wallet...cell phone...a book/magazine...Monstrobolaxa's cell contact (always important)!

No as I said here before he has a litlle trolly (that's bigger than a brief case :P )

I really would like to ask that to the drivers once, as I don't think that other reporters or so have done it....I'm really fascinated by it

Simon: Nils? You can close in now. Nils?
John McClane: [on the guard's phone] Attention! Attention! Nils is dead! I repeat, Nils is dead, ----head. So's his pal, and those four guys from the East German All-Stars, your boys at the bank? They're gonna be a little late.
Simon: [on the phone] John... in the back of the truck you're driving, there's $13 billon dollars worth in gold bullion. I wonder would a deal be out of the question?
John McClane: [on the phone] Yeah, I got a deal for you. Come out from that rock you're hiding under, and I'll drive this truck up your ass.

The trouble with the rat-race is that even if you win, you're still a rat.

Could be a merchandising arrangement? they make them wear stupid ugly caps at any opportunity, why not make them carry a designer briefcase, even if it is empty?
Strange that Alonso has a wheelie suitcase, but that definatly fits him better than one he would have to carry, still I thought he would be more of a man-bag kind of guy.
