Boss series in the US

I know it's quite off topic, but I would like to know, if any of you guys know about the existence of a racing series in the US that is comparable to the Boss Gp in Europe.

Off and on over the years there used to be a "club" series for former Indy cars, known as the American Indycar Series. It had a couple of incarnations and names over the year but I think it has finally disappeared. I could be wrong but SVRA seems to be about the only game in town for that sort of thing now.
