Aerospace industry and F1

Post

The science of computational fluid dynamics, which is used extensively in the aerospace and marine industries, is also applied to F1 cars to massively reduce drag.

The exotic heat resistant, high speed materials of machine parts and associated construction and engineering techniques/principles that go into the making of aircraft engines and other airplane parts are also used in F1 engines and gear boxes.

The same argument is true for lightweight and strong alternative composite materials in addition to electronics, software, telemetry and almost every facet of Formula 1 - perhaps because both industries represent the pinnacle of technology development & its usage.

Wont it be massively advantageous to F1 teams if they collaborated with aerospace majors like BAe, Dassault, MBB, etc ?

Can some mod move this thread into the 'general' section 'cause i mistakenly posted it here in the aero/chassis forum
