I really have no idea what the pecking order will be this year (which is great!). Did Ferrari lose the GP last year just because of strategy or was the race pace of the Red Bull really that much better? Will Mercedes be competitive if it's not too hot? Will Red Bull be closer in qualifying because of all the extra engine regulations regarding oil burning and fuel sensor trickery. So many questions..

Did Ferrari lose the GP last year just because of strategy or was the race pace of the Red Bull really that much better?

later in the year it was mentioned that Red Bull went for a high risk engine mode in the latter part of the race, and thereby making the difference. Can't remember where I found that, but things like this may also have an influence on this year's beginning of the season as well, of course, when some may decide to be a bit more cautious than others.

Ah yeah, I remember it now. They literally turned their engine up to 11.

Last year only Mclaren selected 8 soft, 3 medium and 2 hard sets. It would seem a trifle, but it was at least some kind of variety.

Ferrari pitted LEC too soon(a lap or 2 in order to cover off BOT undercutting him) not recognizing VER as a threat for the win. The Mercs couldn't put up much fight to VER because of their overheating problems. And then VER crashed into him and pushed him off track.

LOL, I see you’re still sour about it. I personally don’t agree and think Leclerc should have backed off once he lost the corner, he drove into a wedge.

I'm glad we'll be racing soon, missed the racing alot ..
Let's hope for a great year with lots good, nasty, nifty and wild drives, and a WDC decision only made in the last few laps of the final race.

Mercedes have to solve their cooling issues ,reliability and high altitude weakness am putting my money on Redbull Honda winning the race.
