So many automotive sister/subsidiary brands usually controlled by parent companies in the world of motorsports actually

Post

In reality, subsidiaries and sister automotive brands in the world of motorsports are usually controlled by parent automotive companies, example:
-DS in Formula E controlled by PSA PEUGEOT-CITRÖEN S.A. and PEUGEOT SPORT
-ALPINE in F1 and Formula Regional Europe controlled by RENAULT SPORT and GROUPE RENAULT
-LEXUS in IMSA SportsCar Championship controlled by MOTOR SALES USA, Inc.
-Acura in IMSA SportsCar Championship controlled by American Honda Motor, Co. Inc.
-LEXUS in Japanese Super GT controlled by TOYOTA MOTOR COMPANY Japan and TOYOTA GAZOO RACING Japan
-CHEVROLET and CADILLAC in IMSA Sports Car Championship, CHEVROLET in IndyCar Series, NASCAR, NHRA etc. controlled General Motors USA
-DODGE in NHRA controlled by FIAT Chrysler Automobiles USA

In the past:
-Jaguar Racing in F1 controlled by Ford Motor Europe
-OPEL in DTM controlled by General Motors Europe
-CHEVROLET in WTCC controlled by General Motors Europe
-INFINITI in IRL IndyCar Series and INFINITI Pro Series controlled by NISSAN Motors USA

Any additions?

Nothing to do with racing, car companies are normally just part of a larger automotive group. The brand on the car is more often that not just a marketing choice.
