I doubt that would gain much as they could probably already go very close to full out on the current engine, and Honda will likely do the same. All teams will be running the maximum engine power that they possibly can.

Unfortunately, only one of the contenders needs a clean race.

I can see Suzuka 1990 type move being tried, sadly.

What do you think? If Verstappen crashes out of the race Hamilton (both DNF), with obviously Verstappen fault then he can get a point deduction for that? I don't know the accurate rules or what changed (if changed) since 1990-94 (Senna-Prost and Schumacher-Hill) in the rules for that or in the approch ( I know nothing is clear about this these days).

By the way, I hope this will be a good fair race.

So, the inevitable question has to be asked.

If MV crashes both himself and Lewis out, will the FIA have the balls to throw him out of the championship, like they did with Schumacher back in the day ?

Right now, it looks to me like they don't have. MV will try to take advantage of it as he did in Saudia, and things will get ugly.

If he hits him mid race even getting a penalty at all is doubtful these days (for him). Certainly not a points deducting type one.

And if he hits him on the first lap nothing at all will happen.

Must suck to be Lewis right now. He has to avoid his desperate moves, because he needs to make points, as was the case in Saudia. I really wished he was ahead of him on the table going into the last race, because that would've somewhat prevented MV from trying a fully dirty move.

They did it with Schumacher in 1997 vs Villeneuve as you wrote. Schumacher lost all points that season. OK but Villeneuve scored enough points to be in front with last race.

I guess it depends on the mood of the stewards😏

I have the feeling, that even the slightest move from the stewards or any official towards criticising Verstappen’s on track antics, will be met with aggression from Marko and Horner, being vocally victimised and threaten to sue, leave and throwing all their toys out or the pram.
