Hello everybody, you see I have already started to do the first calculations and mathematics of my first project of modelling my engine from scratch,but I have some doubts and calculations that I don't know how to do. I need to calculate the torque and power of the engine as well as the rpm of the engine but first of all I need to know the force that is generated in the piston during the explosion as I heard the force (F) that is produced in the piston to be able to calculate the torque and power?
The proper way is to model the combustion process and hope that your model is good. The sensible way is to find the bmep or imep of similar engines and work back to a cylinder pressure diagram.
