Reaction Engines enters Administration - Mercedes PU cooling supplier

Post

Seen it in the Merc thread so thought it might warrant its own discussion.

Reaction Engines made the water to air cooling devices for Mercedes at the start of the ground effect era - to what extent they are used today, and what potential issues it could be for them and maybe customer teams is yet to be seen.

Canโ€™t see it causing too much issues given we are at the end of the season.

Indeed, I agree, can't see it being an issue. Worst case scenario Merc buy the IP for the design and get it made by someone else.
If I come across as blunt, I apologise, it's my ASD. Sometimes, like an F1 car aqua-planing, it gets out of my control.

Not sure this is worth of its own topic in General discussion though. Just a news item about the supplier/license provider of a unseen part/design that's probably not even used anymore. It would be a good post in the "F1 news and technology thread"
