Good luck to him, I hope he does well, although the odds of him qualifying are low enough.

At Daytona, qualifying is 99.9% the car, the driver just sits there and follows the correct line. Anyone can qualify. Period.
But they have a weird qualifying system, if you aren't the first two quickest in qualifying, you have to race for position in qualifying races.
But take it from this old fart, racing is for the young ones, age does matter.
He may have the will, but in my opinion, he just doesn't belong on the track.

Anyone can Qualify??? Daytona is usually oversubscribed so unless he is in the top 43 he won't be racing at all.

So long as the car is up to it, I imagine he will probably qualify.
The equipment is coming from RCR, one of the top teams in NASCAR, so it should be top notch stuff. As others have said, the limiting factor will most likely be himself.
