Top Gear Coming This Month

Post

The car crash in which Top Gear host Richard Hammond got severely injured, is to be shown this month on the television. His co-host Jeremy Clarkson confirmed this to the British newspaper The Sun, which he works for as a writer. "Half the world wants to see the crash, so I'm sure we'll put it in the show."

Last september, 37-year old Hammond got severe braindamage and was suffering from memory-loss for two weeks, after crashing while testing a jet-powered car at 450 km/h. Hammond was immediately transferred to the hospital. Now the Top Gear host is fully recoverd, he can't wait to go back to work.

Clarkson says it's likely that the crash will be shown in the first show of the new season. The most curious one is mr. Hammond himself, he says. "Richard hasn't got a clue what actually happened to him and he can't wait to see it." Top Gear's new season airs at January 28th on BBC 2.
Simon: Nils? You can close in now. Nils?
John McClane: [on the guard's phone] Attention! Attention! Nils is dead! I repeat, Nils is dead, ----head. So's his pal, and those four guys from the East German All-Stars, your boys at the bank? They're gonna be a little late.
Simon: [on the phone] John... in the back of the truck you're driving, there's $13 billon dollars worth in gold bullion. I wonder would a deal be out of the question?
John McClane: [on the phone] Yeah, I got a deal for you. Come out from that rock you're hiding under, and I'll drive this truck up your ass.

Thanks for that M3. I was worried about him and I couldn't find anything on his current condition. Does anyone know what US channel they are going to show Top Gear on?

Yeah, I do...the YouTube one! Sorry! The closest you can get to TG on our channels is Speed's already outdated episodes of 5th gear.

I was just watching this video, and LMAO:

Why do they always pick on James so much? He's my favorite!

I've watched it a couple times on BBCA. I sure hope they plan on showing it.

I'm really glad to hear he is okay. He is my second favorite after James on Top Gear. But James is so great. He's like the redheaded stepchild on that show. He takes and takes, but never pushes back. Jeremy's comedic genius at pushing his buttons makes it even better.

I figured they would be somewhere like youtube or the like, but I shy away from any kind of torrent network. Never know what kind of virus you get from those thing.s I know people have used them with no trouble, but I got a HORRIBLE virus even with a firewall, and it destroyed my laptop.

Out of curiosity, why doesn't Top Gear review Japanese luxurious cars? I've seen them do a couple, but not too many. Any reason (aside from "because Japanese cars suck!")?

For the same reason they don't do alot of American cars. 'They suck', or to Jeremy especially, NOTHING the US EVER comes up with, other than th Ford GT, is worth even sitting in to him. Everything we produce is crap apparently. I don't like that part of him, but he is da*n funny, so I do like him. For various reasons, the only good or great cars on there are European. We make good cars, but in different ways.

I don't think so. The man has nothing against the Japanese cars. Watch this video at around 3:40:

He even mentioned Lexus before BMW, Mercedes and Audi (I know it doesn't mean that he likes the Lexus better, but it means that he likes the brand - although I watched an episode where they thrashed the SC430).

For some odd reason I can't watch that one. But I know he doesn't hate Jap cars, but he rarely has anything good to say about anything other than euro cars.

They don't review them because they don't SELL in Europe or the UK!
Same goes for American cars - the only American car sold in the UK is a Corvette and Clarkson tested the new one just last year.

Why would they test and report on a car that is not sold in the UK?

I have seen some clips from the American Top Gear offshoot in which American cars were tested.
