Looking for vehicle dynamics practice problems.

Post

Hi to everyone helping me,

I have been trying to study vehicle dynamics by myself recently and I have been reading RCVD by Millikan for the past couple weeks. Everything is understandable but I feel like I need some practice to really understand the material.

Is anyone who can recommend such resources? Either textbook, website will do. Preferably with solutions or answers.

Thanks for helping me out.

Welcome, schumy7. I just recommended a couple of links about car dynamics here. No "problems solved", but you can find some explanations about the equations and some source code and program documentation for them.

If you have the cash, Race Car Vehicle Dynamics: Problems, Answers and Experiments could be worth a look. I haven't used it myself but there might be some reviews about for it

Hi,

You might be interested to know that in Sept. 2008, Oxford Brookes University will be launching a comprehensive post-graduate level Motorsport Chassis Dynamics course. It will be available via supported distance learning, and will have no formal start or end date. It covers: An Introduction to Vehicle Dynamics; Racing Tyres: Design and Dynamics; Advanced Vehicle Dynamics; Suspension Kinematics; Suspension Dynamics; and Lap Time Simulation. Later in the year, you'll be able to study each of these topics as a standalone course. A DVD which accompanies the written course material features case studies professionally filmed at places like RenaultF1 and other teams, and industry have helped also with course development, particularly curriculum content and critical review of the course material.

Regards,

Mike
