mclaren used throughout the winter tests and in melbourne the williams type w front wing. In sepang they had changed into the ferrari type of front wing. They hadn't made any other significant changes to the front of the car. I was just wondering how it is possible to switch from the w wing to the basic type without changin a great deal of the nose and the barge boards too, given that these two wings have completey different functions? One would expect that the new wing would create completely different wortexes and flows and would thus mess the rest of the cars aerodymamics up. Any ideas on how this is possible, anybody?
They've been testing the ferrari style wing since Imola just before Melbourne and could be testing it in Valencia after that because there is no pictures. The black paint on their car makes it hard to spot out the chages done to the suspensions...barge boards.
