Catia question

Post

I've been playing arouund with r18 since i learned how to design mechanical parts this last quarter. Yet, my question is how do i design a car body? I was just playing aorund with some of the shape design programs but, they aren't as easy to use as i expected. Anyone know of some good tutorials?

I had the same problem a while ago, I looked for the same thing you are and found nothing but some videos on youtube #-o this one was helpfull http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=skDq_eBp ... re=related, I watched it about 50 times before I finally got it

Maybe you can ask your teachers if you´re at uni? Mine weren´t helpfull at all, but I´m still in highschool....

fastback33,

CATIA V5 has a Body-In-White (BIW) application for doing class A surfacing.

fastback> I'm having the same problem. The surfacing has gotten me into a bind over the course of the last week or so. I'm new to catia and can do some pretty good modeling and analysis, but the surfacing isn't like anything I've done before. I'm using v5r16... If you're familiar with this release, are there any drastic changes to the program to r18?
