Alesi did amazingly to even be close to that McLaren in his Tyrrel.

On the basis of this drive, Alesi was offered contracts with both Williams and Ferrari. Alesi allowed the romance of being a Ferrari driver sway his decision & this probably cost him a shot at the 1992 championship.

How different Alesi's career could have been ...
