Have all teams (except BMW) signed?
Does that mean the Renault and Toyota are in (at least until 2012)?

Amen to that. Let us have the revised 2010 regulations ASAP.

For what it is worth one has to assume that they are. But as allways such contracts are probably only signed by the teams. The parent company can send the team bust and so it has little value.

Ya, lets destroy the last gasp chance at truly open regs in this pinnacle formula.

Nothing been reported yet on increased TV revenues for teams from what I've read. That doesn't bode so well.

If you recall, I was not with FOTA on this argument. I didn't necessarily think that the FIA's approach was the best, but at least they laid the groundwork for FOTA to come up with it's own cap and still allow the open regs.

I very close to hating F1 just as much as I love it, and when that happens, I will be sure to stop watching.

Time to start my 9 year old daughter's Kart team....

Re: Concorde is signed

Following approval by the World Motor Sport Council, on Friday evening FIA President Max Mosley signed the 2009 Concorde Agreement, heralding a renewed period of stability for the FIA Formula One World Championship.

The Concorde Agreement - a contract between the FIA, F1's Commercial Rights-Holder and the participating Teams - sets out the basis on which the Teams participate in the Championship and share in its commercial success.

The WMSC has also approved a slightly revised set of stable Sporting and Technical Regulations (to apply from the 2010 Championship onwards), which have been agreed by the FIA and the Formula 1 teams and which will soon be published online.

The new Concorde Agreement, which runs until 31 December 2012, provides for a continuation of the procedures in the 1998 Concorde Agreement, with decisions taken by working groups and commissions, upon which all teams have voting rights, before going to the WMSC for ratification.

In addition, as agreed in Paris on 24 June 2009, the Formula One teams have entered into a resource restriction agreement, which aims to return expenditure to the levels that prevailed in the early 1990s.

With the 2009 Concorde Agreement and the resource restriction agreement in place, the FIA looks forward to a period of stability and prosperity in the FIA Formula One World Championship.

Wasnt there talk about making F1 more affordable for the fans, was that to be included in an agreement like this?

so what happened to the fact that the FIA "suggested" new teams make engine deals with Cosworth? Surely Cosworth doesn't want it's company named stained by Max's political greed. What should they do if this turns out to be true, which I think it is?

FOTA(minus BMW) sign the new concorde

http://en.f1-live.com/f1/en/headlines/n ... 0954.shtml
http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/77564

but no real details... Does Ferrari still get more money and a Super Veto?

do the teams get a bigger piece of the pie?

do the bottom 3 teams still get no TV money?

FOTA was supposedly fighting for more control over how the rules were chosen, yet the system reportedly stays the same(they were pretty much in full control anyway, except for safety)

The FOTA "teams" are bound until 2012, but no mention of the manufacturers.

do the teams get more say in the venues?

Sorry for the OT post but now since Renault have signed the Concorde, is it likely that RBR will continue with their engine? Would they be entitled under the 2010 regs to run Mercedes if they chose to?

According the motorsport.com details of the cost regulations include homologation of the front and rear wings, 3 modifications max of the floor and chassis, and one for the crash structure.

Personel is to be restricted at races and more testing restrictions will be introduced.

What a wonderful F1 we have there...Thanks FOTA.
