No more lives for the Big Cat?

Post

Will Jag be around for long? Should they leave the F1 Circus?
For a manufacturer to admit defeat, it cannot be good. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree; how will Ford's image (and other divisions) be affected? How can they live down defeat?

On the other hand, to stay any longer and not progress up the grid ultimately shows how Ford runs their overall business - with blindfolds.
How can a team like this be second last in the constructors? Ridiculous!
Stop blaming employees and drivers, and find a strong structured managment team.

Go VW go!

Well, they could turn it around if they wanted to. I mean, they do have the resources, unlike jordan or arrows. But the first thing they would have to do is stop acting like one of the smaller teams. They shouldn't let a driver drive just because he brings in money. That's just too minardi. Klien is crap, everybody knows that. They should start by sacking his sorry ass.
Then they need a proper team boss. Somebody that really knows what's going down. Somebody eith charisma. And they need to improve their race strategies.
After that is taken care of, Ford should spend some money in order to achieve something; they should make jaguar their own engine, and let jordan have their crap one.
THEN, only then, when all this is done, they should find a designer. Just like they tried with Newey, but they should know better than to start bidding with one of the richest teams on the block.
If they do all this, I cant see why they wouldn't be able to climb onto he top four.

I think Ford doesn't want to spend the money because they bleed 3 million dollars a day. Compare that to Toyota who overtook Ford in sales last year.

I dunno about Klien but he needs more experience... and a better car. It was pure coincidence that he brought in a lot of Red Bull money, however

Not true. The only reason he's driving is because red bull wanted him to (he's Austrian). Jaguar is actually moaning at the moment that they made a stupid decision letting him drive, but that they tried to turn red bull's head around. Red bull's money is the only reason he is driving.

Now that Max has really put his foot down about regulation changes, I imagine that jaguar will be staying put for at least another year or two. I can't imagine that Ford is willing to write off such a massive investment when there could be hope on the horizon for not only a lower cost, but also a tech revolution to shake things up.

If they cant hold on to Webber (and its looks increasingly likely that they wont) then they will be competing with jordan and minardi next year, not sauber and McLaren. This looks bad for them as they came into F! to show that they could compete with BMW and Merc on every level, which they cant. Pity cause I am Aussie and would love to see Mark up there in the points far more often than he is. Not his fault.
