End plate design?

Hello everybody!

I'm designing my own rear wing at the moment for a CFD analysis. I'm already finished with the wing profiles/arrangement and design and i want to add now some end plates.


I'm asking my self now about the "knowledge tricks" by designing end plates.
What are the important points of end plate design?

I understand their function (roughly said: to channel the flow about the wing profiles), but what are the dimensions usually of them?
It's preferred to use bigger plates or smaller plates?


Has anyone some good links or book tips about this topic? or maybe someone can give me tips from own experience?
