Hey all. I'm just asking this question for a few reasons. It seems quite clearly that the front wing (even more so since 2009) is playing a superb part as a flow conditioner towards the rest of the car.
What I'm interested is how some teams seem to be going in completely opposing directions. Red Bull has a highly complex wing with what? 10 lifting portions? 9? While Ferrari/McLaren have a very simple looking wing and also simplistic endplates.
What is the rule in terms of number of lifting surfaces/slots/surface area of the front wing? Red Bull's super-complex setup vs Ferrari's super-simple wing seem to be polar opposites in terms of philosophy?
