Mclaren chassis is REALLY bouncy

Post

Has anyone else noticed how much more 'bouncy' the Mclarens are than most of the other cars, especially the Red Bull? Looking at the front and rear wings of each over the same section of track and same camera angle you can really see the Mclaren bouncing much more over bumps. This is probably detrimental to mechanical grip, with the load on tires changing much more than other cars. Probably upsets the airflow under the car and under the front wing too. Thoughts?

I know....If I had one complaint about the fourm it would be that we have so much activity (a good thing really) but it makes cutting through the junk to get to the good stuff difficult.

Well I just added some more junk. #-o

Yup, the search tool works great most of the time.

Now let's see, what could one search for when thinking about the McLaren being "bouncy"? That it's stiff? Well what's stiff? The suspension of course.

So one could possibly type in "McLaren stiff suspension" and pray that something relevant comes up, and voila: results for "McLaren stiff suspension". 25 matches and most of them hit the nail in the head.

And for "MP4-25 bouncy".

And in case someone doesn't know where the search tool is, it is at the top right of the page (I prefer the link instead of the type in box). When at the search page, type in your key words and narrow or specify your results with the options "Search within" and/or "Display results as"; choose post text or topics. For the results above I chose posts.

Good luck. :)
