Aerodynamics of F1 wing mirrors

Post

Hey all,

I am about to start a final year University project on improving a F1 wing mirror.
I am going to look into drag of the wing mirror and vortex generation over the whole car.

Can anyone think of any other areas in which to improve a wing mirror.

Also does anyone have any information about wing mirrors.

Cheers

Many drivers say that the wing mirrors are virtually useless due to the vibrations at speed : maybe you could find a way of dampening them so that they can actually be used to see things (rather than simply being there because they are specified in the regs) ...
