F-duct vs ARW

Post

Hey all, I was just looking at Spa and Suzuka 2010 pole laps recently, and something struck me. Blanchimont, Eau Rouge, and 130R were all easy flat with F-duct on. While the ARW is in many ways similar to the F-duct, it does so at a much greater magnitude, eliminating more downforce for reducing more drag, than the F-duct. Now, I'm wondering if the level of downforce required to take Blanchimont, Eau Rouge, or 130R flat out might be less than an f-duct-activated car, but more than an ARW-activated car. I know teams are allowed to open up up to a 50mm gap or something? But are they allowed to kind of open up less of a gap?
