my (perhaps wrong) understanding is, that you can delete your post, until it was read by another member.
So if you post something, at a quiet hour, you can delete it for a while.
If you post during a time, when others are at the same thread, you cant.
This feature, together with the fact, that you can´t edit your posts, after a while, on here (at least I can´t) seems to be a "unique" feature of F1technical, compared with other forums on the net, where you can do both even after +1 year.
