We aren't going to twiddle our thumbs - Theissen

The Hungarian Grand Prix didn't take the course the BMW Sauber F1 Team had hoped for. After all, the Munich and Hinwil based squad scored just one point at Budapest. Nonetheless, this result won't affect the BMW Sauber F1.08's development programme, says Mario Theissen.

"We were not just slow, we were also inconsistent," admits the BMW Motorsport Director, referring to the team's performance in Hungary. "Like Ferrari, we also witnessed that one car was doing much better than the other. There was something out there that we did not understand."

According to Theissen, an extensive analysis of the disappointing performance in Hungary will help the BMW Sauber F1 Team understanding what went wrong. Apart from that, the development work on the BM Sauber F1.08 will continue. "Obviously we aren't going to sit down and twiddle our thumbs as we still have developments in the pipeline - aerodynamic as well as mechanical," reveals Theissen. "And we definitely won't stop the development of the F1.08 because of one unsatisfying result."
