Back in June, Christian proved his ability for Peugeot at the legendary Le Mans 24-hour race. At his endurance debut, the Austrian raced straight onto the podium. Christian will join Spain's Marc Gené and Frenchman Nicolas Minassian in the USA From 1st to 4th October, and will once again race for the French car manufacturer.

"I am pleased that my performances for Peugeot were obviously appreciated," says Christian Klien. "Every kilometre in a car is important to me. I am particularly pleased with the faith the BMW Sauber F1 Team have put in me, as there were also test sessions between the Grands Prix in Singapore and Japan, but the team released me for the race at Road Atlanta without any complications. It is also a very good opportunity to keep your reflexes and race touch at a high level for Formula One."
