Alonso still hopeful of a future Ferrari drive

Regardless of Ferrari announcing their driver lineup until 2010, with the pair of Kimi Raikkonen and Felipe Massa continuing, Fernando Alonso remains hopeful of one day racing for the historical Italian Scuderia.

Alonso shares that he already knew that Raikkonen would continue at Ferrari, and that his main objective was the 2009 season.

Speaking to 'Cadena Ser' radio, the Spaniard had this to say, "I knew that they would renew his contract. And once you know it, you have to think of 2009. I was not too worried about 2010. The most important thing is too see what is the best place to be in 2009.

"I'm 27 now and life changes a lot and if I race in Formula One for another eight or ten years I might get the chance again to end up there (at Ferrari)."
