Trulli slams Sato
Jarno Trulli has called for the "dangerous" Takuma Sato to be sanctioned after yet another accident. Having slid off on the first corner, the BAR driver subsequently slammed into the side of Trulli's Toyota during the early stages of the Japanese GP.
It was another incident in an ever-lengthening list of accidents that has seen Taku dubbed a 'crachaholic'. But it was nog laughing matter for an enraged Trulli.
Jarno Trulli
"I think we have a dangerous person on the track. It's clear for a few years that he is just causing a lot of problems and we have to stop it. The federation has to take action. He tried to do a manoeuvre that is just impossible so I don't know what he is thinking when he is driving."
Trulli refuses to talk to Sato. He said: "There is no point because he keeps doing it – which means he won't learn and he won't be able to understand."
The bad news for Trulli is that Sato's marketability in the lucrative Japanese market, rather than his driving ability in F1, is likely to ensure that he will keep his place in the field next season if and when an 11th team joins the grid.
