Zanardi aims to compete in Olympic marathon
Former Formula One driver and CART champion Alessandro Zanardi is aiming to compete on the olympic marathon in London in 2012. Since he has lost both legs in a racing accidents years back, the Italian will compete in a wheelchair, aiming to fulfill a dream.
Alex said to motorsport magazine: "In my life I have repeatedly put dreams into reality, so it is not just a dream".
42-year old Zanardi will not be a complete rookie as he became 4th in the handisport category at the marathon of New York in 2007.
