Very bad form if British GP wasn't held - Stewart
Losing the British Grand Prix would be very bad for the sport, says ex-Formula One driver Jackie Stewart. Including that either Silverstone or Donington should host the historic race, as long as the event doesn't fall of the calendar. Donington Park is currently undergoing renovations in order to meet the stringent Formula One requirements, but is behind schedule and has been the victim of much speculation.
"It would be very bad form if it wasn't held. If Donington couldn't - and I hope they can - but if they couldn't then Silverstone, I hope, would be asked to run the British Grand Prix," Stewart shared with 'BBC Northampton'.
"I hold nothing against Donington trying to do it but I would love to be assured that there will be a British Grand Prix," he added. "We have had it since 1950. It's the oldest Grand Prix in the world and it would be terrible to lose it."
