Montagny joins IndyCar with Andretti Green Racing
Former Renault F1 test driver Franck Montagny has announced on his website that he will continue his racing career at IndyCar. He will make his beginnings in IndyCar at the end of the month, at Andretti Green Racing.
The Frenchman already ran for this team in ALMS last year, and tested their IndyCar during the winter. His arrival is thus not a surprise.
“I could test one of IndyCar of the team last year and I took the chance with much pleasure” declares Montagny.
“To be able to carry out tests on the circuit this week will be very useful to learn the track and to prepare myself for the race. We have much work before being ready but I think that we can take up this challenge.”
It will be its first race in IndyCar but Franck will continue to run for Peugeot in endurance racing. He will therefore also compete in Petit Le Mans aboard of a 908 HDi FAP.
