I have a good feeling for Monza - Kubica
Robert Kubica is looking forward to the 13th race of the season in Monza - and not only because he lived in Italy for much of the early part of his career, thus making the Italian Grand Prix something of a home race for the Pole. He also has a lot of respect for the high-speed circuit for sporting reasons.
"The Monza track is a very special one. As it is the quickest track on the calendar, the car's downforce level will be reduced even more compared to Spa-Francorchamps," Kubica explains. "Traditionally our cars are quite quick on low downforce tracks and our performance was already good at Spa. I have a good feeling for Monza and I am looking forward to the race, as I expect a lot of Italian fans to show up there."
Robert's record in Monza is not to be sniffed at. He made it onto the podium in his first Formula One race at the 5.793km circuit in 2006. Last year the 24-year-old finished third for the second time at the "Royal Park". In 2007, Robert crossed the finishing line in fifth place.
