Button hails "spectacular" Silverstone circuit
With the Silverstone circuit set to continue hosting the British GP, Jenson Button is pleased that one of the three best Formula One circuits hasn't been lost. Donington was set to replace Silverstone, but in the end Donington was unable to follow through with the proper financing and lost out to it's F1 circuit rival.
"It's really good news. I'm so glad that they have been able to sort something out. Silverstone is one of the great circuits," Button shared with the 'BBC'.
"There are three really that stand out, and that's Spa, Suzuka and Silverstone. They are very fast, flowing, it's not an easy circuit to overtake but it's a lot of fun to drive and it's the perfect way to see a Formula 1 car on the limit.
"It's a spectacular circuit and there's a lot of history at Silverstone as well," he added, "I just can't wait to get back there because the British fans are so supportive. I'm very, very happy."
