Renault decides after Monaco
The Mild Seven Renault F1 Team will take a decision about their race drivers for 2007 after the Grand Prix of Monaco says Flavio Briatore in the Italian Gazzetta dello Sport. Fernando Alonso will be leaving the team for a race seat at McLaren at the end of the season.
Giancarlo Fisichella's contract ends at the end of the season and with Alonso leaving, it might be that the Renault F1 Team will present two new drivers for the 2007 Formula One season.
Heikki Kovalainen, the test driver of the team, is one of the drivers in the picture to replace Fernando Alonso, but also Kimi Raikkonen would be a possibility. Of course it's not sure that also Fisichella will leave the team. "We'll decide after Monte Carlo," said Flavio Briatore
