Scuderia Ferrari have announced that they have signed partnership agreements with the Swiss luxury watchmaking brand, Richard Mille and Estrella Galicia, the Spanish premium beer manufacturer.
The agreement will see Estrella Galicia, 0,0 become Ferrari’s „Official Beer” from the 2021 season on. The premium beer brand was a partner of the McLaren outfit, but it entered into a partnership with the arrival of Spanish driver Carlos Sainz at Maranello.
Commenting on the announcement, Mattia Binotto, Managing Director & Team Principal of the Scuderia Ferrari Mission Winnow outfit said: "We are pleased to embark on this new partnership with Estrella Galicia 0,0 an emerging brand in the global beer sector.
„We share many values with the Spanish company, such as the pursuit of excellence, respect for tradition and ties to our geographic roots and the craftsmanship of our product. Furthermore, Estrella Galicia 0,0 has been present in motor sport for many years, paying particular attention to talented youngsters, which is something else we have in common,” he concluded.
The Estrella Galicia brewery was founded in 1906 by José María Rivera Corral when he returned to Galicia after travels in Cuba and Mexico. The firm remains 100 per cent family owned, with its founder's great grandson and namesake, José María Rivera and his partner Stuart Krenz, as company president.
Ignacio Rivera, CEO of Corporación Hijos de Rivera said: "We are pleased to become a Team Partner of Scuderia Ferrari, the most successful team with the biggest following in F1.
„Our association is based on shared values such as passion, search for excellence and our artisan tradition. I am sure that with these ingredients, we will enjoy great moments together that will help get our message across to beer lovers around the world."
The Maranello-based outfit has also confirmed that it has signed a multi-year partnership agreement with Richard Mille. The agreement means that the Haute Horlogerie brand become sponsor and licensee for the Prancing Horse. The Swiss watchmaking brand will be displayed, for example, on the team’s single-seaters and on the drivers’ helmets.
The complex agreement will see Richard Mille support other Ferrari’s motorsport activities as Official Timekeeper, sponsor of Competizioni GT and the Ferrari Challenge series, partner of Ferrari Driver Academy, technical partner of Ferrari Esports Series and FDA Esports Team.
The Scuderia also confirmed in its announcement that the two companies „will also have their respective research and design teams start a collaboration in order to create an exclusive range of limited edition watches, an expression of the two brands’ technological excellence and distinctive style.”
