Ferrari team boss Fred Vasseur has revealed that the Scuderia will announce key changes to its technical organisation after Formula One returns to action following the summer break.

A day after the British Grand Prix, Ferrari have confirmed the departure of their chassis technical director Enrico Cardile, with Italian set to join Aston Martin.

Cardile joined Ferrari's Formula One department as Head of Aero Development in 2016, while the following year, he was made Vehicle Project Manager. In 2019 he became Head of Aerodynamics and Vehicle Project Manager while in August 2020 he was appointed head of a new Performance Development Department.

Since 1st January 2021 he has been head of the Chassis Area. He continued in this role while also appointed Technical Director Chassis and Aerodynamics in 2023.

However, despite the recent departure of Enrico Cardile, Ferrari team boss Frederic Vasseur is not worried about the Scuderia's technical structure with the Frenchman hinting that the Maranello-based outfit will announce recruitments after the summer break.

“For us, it’s not a drama, everything is clear," added Vasseur. "We will announce the new organization after the summer break.”

“We have a group of more than 200-300 people working on this or on this project. It is not about one person, it is not a drama. I always push to explain that individuals are less important than the group.

"It is true when you hire someone and it is true when you lose them. I am not at all worried about this. The stability of the group is there, people work very well together.

"We have shown that we have worked as a team in difficult times. I do not want to focus on a single event, but in 12 months we have closed two-thirds of the gap with the winner thanks also to the work done in the factory. This means that I have great confidence in them.

Commenting on the Hungarian Grand Prix, the Frenchman said that while he is not completely happy with the fourth and sixth place, he is delighted with the progress the Scuderia has made compared to last year's Budapest F1 race.

"We definitely have to continue. I am not happy with the result, I do not want there to be misunderstandings. I am not happy to be 20 seconds behind someone, but last year we were 65 seconds behind the leader,” Vasseur concluded.
