Hamilton praises Red Bull for its innovative solutions
After the latest technical controvery, this time revolving around Red Bull's front ride-height, seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton has praised the innovative approach of the reigning world champion team.
During the build-up to last weekend's United States Grand Prix, it emerged that Red Bull might have been using a device that could enable the reigning champion team to advantageously change the car's ride height via the 'bib' at the front of the floor when in restricted 'parc ferme' conditions, which would be in breach of the sport's regulations.
The Milton Keynes-bas outfit confirmed just ahead of the practice day in Texas that they had agreed a plan with the FIA to make alterations to their car following talks with the sport's governing body.
Speaking about Red Bull's device, seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton has paised the Austro-British outfit for "massaging" the rules and constantly brining innovations into the sport.
I've only just heard about it, before I got here. But I think the name of our sport is all about innovation. Red Bull have been the leaders and they've innovated.
"Ultimately all the teams look at the rules and try to find how to massage those rules and get the most out of it. At the end of the day they did a better job.
"God knows how long they've had that, and they've been winning championships. Maybe that stops now... I don't think that's the one thing that's going to stop them," concluded Hamilton.
