As a global leader in power-efficient, high-performance compute technology, Arm's innovation powers more than 300 billion devices worldwide from sensors, to smartphones, to supercomputers and racecars.

Through the partnership, Arm and the British team "aim to foster a more inclusive and equitable future in motorsport and STEM". Jessica Hawkins, Head of F1 Academy at Aston Martin Aramco , will represent Arm as an Ambassador, championing opportunities for women in motorsport.

Aston Martin noted that "Arm's automotive technologies are designed to meet the growing computing, safety and real-time demands of modern vehicles, and are already deployed in several applications in the Aston Martin Aramco racecar."

The British F1 team and Arm will develop innovative control and instrumentation systems that can be used directly on the car, and in test and development environments, to deliver on-track performance gains. Areas of focus include the development of intelligent wheel guns, automated jacks, release light systems for a new pit-stop system and in the instrumentation and control for the team's new wind tunnel model.

Arm branding will feature on the rear wing arm of the AMR25 car and the pit stop gantry for every race. In addition, the brand will also receive elevated visibility on the F1 Academy car and race suit.

Commenting on the new collaboration, Aston Martin team boss Andy Cowell noted: "This partnership with Arm marks an exciting chapter in Aston Martin Aramco's journey. Arm's expertise in compute and AI technology will play a significant role in enhancing performance and driving forward engineering innovation inside the team, to help deliver performance on the track.

"This partnership brings an opportunity to push the boundaries of what we can achieve off track too with a clear focus to champion women in STEM and motorsport, aligning with our own goals to create an inclusive and diverse culture and attract the very best talent as part of our Make A Mark strategy."

Reflecting on the announcement, Arm's Chief Marketing Officer Ami Badani said: "Arm has been at the heart of innovation for over three decades, driven by our commitment to finding unique opportunities that allow us to inspire and empower the next generation of engineers and racers.

"We are excited to partner with Aston Martin Aramco to foster new pathways for talent in STEM and women in motorsport, while also advancing performance on the track and in the car through leading edge AI technologies from Arm."
