A new home for the BMW Sauber F1 Team

The BMW Sauber F1 Team prepares for tis maiden race on European soil, the San Marino Grand Prix, with the team's new motor home celebrating its debut prior to the race at Imola. ADuring race weekends, the motor homes represent the headquarters for the Formula One teams.

Here are the on-site offices for the engineers and here, the team's kitchen crew provides them with delicious meals. It also offers the drivers the opportunity to retreat between the sessions to prepare for the tasks to come. At the same time, the hospitality area represents the perfect platform for the BMW Sauber F1 Team to receive its guests.

On a base size of 400 square metres, the futuristic 6 x 11,5 metre glass front is the first feature to attract the public's attention, with the 16-metre bar area also impressing the visitors. The motor home is equipped with nutwood parquet, 37 flat screens, two showers and a total of 20 work stations, which make for ideal working conditions. Twelve team members have to work for 36 hours to erect the mobile building. The show-piece of the motor home: the tent roof made of breathable and water proof GoreTex fabric.

During the first three overseas rounds of the season the BMW Sauber F1 Team had to make do with a provisional motor home.
