Ferrari complete first fire-up with their brand-new 2025 F1 machine

Following their three on-track activities at Fiorano and the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, Ferrari have moved a step closer to kicking off their 2024 season by sharing a video of the SF-24 being fired up.

Ferrari have completed an important milestone last week, having fired up this year's power unit for the first time in the SF-25 in the their Vehicle Assembly department. Following in the footsteps of McLaren and Williams, the Scuderia have now released a fire-up video of their new machine.

The Ferrari power unit was fitted to the SF-25, the car which will be launched on 19th February, prior to seeing world championship action for the first time at the opening round, at the season-opening Australian Grand Prix.

Looking on were Vice President and co-owner Piero Ferrari, team principal Frédéric Vasseur and deputy team boss Jerome D'Ambrosio.

Ferrari will also take part in Formula One's inaugural shakedown show that will take place in London on 18th February. The next day will see the Scuderia complete a a brief shakedown test on its own test track in Fiorano where Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc will be able to get an initial feel of the brand-new car.

The Italian team will then travel to Bahrain that is set to host the three-day pre-season test in Bahrain across February 26-28.
