Formula One's governing body, the FIA has now confirmed the start times for the races of the 2025 F1 season, revealing that the Las Vegas Grand Prix will be moved forward by two hours.
The upcoming season will see the race action commence at the Australian Grand Prix, which means that Melbourne will regain its status as the season-opening round next season while the Bahrain and the Saudi Arabian races move back due to Ramadan.
In total, the calendar will feature 24 races and will conclude in Abu Dhabi on 7 December. Ramadan will be throughout March in 2025, and therefore the Bahrain and Saudi Arabian Grands Prix will be held in April.
The changes made to the calendar in 2024 to create a better geographical flow of races have been carried over to 2025, with Japan in April following Australia and China, followed predominantly by the European races over the summer and the Americas during the Autumn, before Qatar and Abu Dhabi finish the season back-to-back.
The sport's governing body, the FIA has now confirmed the start times of the qualifying sessions and races, revealing that the Las Vegas Grand Prix will be brought forward with two hours.
The new start times mean that the Las Vegas race will begin at 8pm local time on Saturday 22 November, and the same timing will apply for the qualifying session.
The change is partly motivated by a desire to make the race more accessible for viewers in other parts of the United States, with a new 11pm Eastern Time start likely to attract more viewers.
"This adjustment is based on feedback, insights and experience from the first two races, expanding opportunities for fans to explore the destination and continuing to engage with more fans across the US.
"Details on the event and road closure schedules will be shared in the coming months," the race's organisers commented.
