Aussi aims to score at Monaco

Mark Webber returns to the scene of his best Formula 1 result this weekend. The Williams star finished third at Monaco last year and hopes that the track, his favourite circuit on the calendar, will bring another strong result this time around.

"I hope we can improve on the previous race by quite some margin," says Mark Webber, who enjoyed a successful tyre test with Bridgestone at Vallelunga last week. "We have some new aero tweaks for this race, and both myself and Nico Rosberg are using new Cosworth engines."

Not only has Webber scored his best F1 result at Monaco, he won at the track in Formula 3000. If it's true that Monaco is a driver's track, then it speaks volumes about Mark's abilities.

"There's certainly something special about the place," he says. "From a driver's perspective, it's a real challenge. There is no let-up and you have to be 100 percent committed and precise if you're going to be quick.

"As for Monaco the event, it's certainly a very special race for everyone involved in F1. It's an impressive setting and the fans get closer to the cars than any other track."
