Rossiter and Davidson kick-off Monza test
Anthony Davidson and James Rossiter were at the wheel for the Honda Racing F1 Team today as testing got underway in Monza, Italy. The weather conditions were warm and sunny this morning as both drivers conducted some acclimatisation work before progressing to a brake evaluation programme.
Anthony was at the wheel of the RA106-02 chassis but completed only 19 laps after an engine problem confined him to the garage. James enjoyed a productive morning in chassis RA106-06, gaining his first experience of driving the Monza circuit and achieving 40 laps.
This afternoon, both Anthony and James conducted a Michelin tyre test, evaluating various options for the forthcoming US Grand Prix. They completed 128 and 117 laps respectively.
Jenson Button will take over chassis 06 tomorrow for the remaining two days of the test. Anthony will continue in chassis 02 for a further day before Rubens Barrichello joins the test on day 3.
