JV puts smile on Theissen's face

Although it will be at least six months before BMW confirm their driver line-up for 2007, team boss Mario Theissen has admitted that Jacques' revitalised form this season has "put a smile on my face!"

While Mario Theissen reiterated BMW's plan not to confirm the team's driver-up until the current campaign had reached its conclusion, he did admit that "We are extremely happy with our current driver line-up."

"Nick Heidfeld is every bit as good as we hoped. He's strong out on the track and is making the valuable contribution we expected he would to the development of the car," Mario continued.

"Jacques Villeneuve, meanwhile, is proving his critics wrong. He's highly motivated and right back in top form, which puts a smile on my face."
